Wear Confidence

Whatever you feel inside IS GOING TO SHOW on the OUTSIDE! I know so many people (and ME INCLUDED) who feel so conscious wearing bikinis or trunks or any piece of clothing that reveals more skin than usual or when they are just more dressed up than normal.

Your clothes look as good as you feel in them. You can wear something so simple and still look like a runway model it’s literally all about confidence! Don’t let others make you feel shy or embarrassed of what you’re wearing, it’s your body, you own it!  

My mom often used to tell me that I have a problem with looking good, this means that whenever I look good I’m either shy, or conscious or hunching and overall making a total cartoon out of myself, and I used to be like that because when I know I look good I was scared of the attention, but you gotta learn how to own it!! If people are going to look at you, you might as well make it worth it *wink wink* 

Being considered attractive is 80% confidence and 20% looks. The day you feel good in your own body is the day your wardrobe will stop defining you, your confidence will say it all! 

I have come to learn that no one really cares as much as you think they do. STOP BEING CONSCIOUS because that shows! Most of the times when you think a situation is awkward it’s only because you’re allowing it to be.

Another example for confidence that isn’t related to looks is when people feel the need to scream to make a point, umm no, you still ain’t right and your voice modulation isn’t really going to make a difference, say whatever you want with confidence and even if what you’re saying is absolute bullshit people will still believe it. 

Being confident is a process you don’t just suddenly wake up and feel confident so here are some things that make me feel confident: 

  • A good work out: 

I MEAN IT! I can’t stress enough how workouts have helped me in this process. I might not even be getting more toned or more fit but if I simply workout I feel so much better about myself against a day when I don’t. 

  • When I’m well versed with what people are talking about: 

There is a reason people encourage you to read. I love to be able to talk to people from different walks of life and listen to them and have an opinion on what they’re saying but that isn’t very effective if I don’t understand heads or tails about what they’re saying. 

  • Wearing clothes that fit me well

 Okay! Don’t roll your eyes at this one I know I said looking good has more to do with confidence than clothes and it’s true, but wearing clothes that fit you well gives you such a boost of confidence!! If you wear a size smaller you’re always going to feel bloated or “fat”, if you wear a size bigger you aren’t really going to feel motivated and ready to take on the day, rather it makes me want to just lay in bed all day cozied up with a good series to watch. Wearing clothes my size really does boost my confidence. 

  • When I’ve got a good days work in

Usually, if I go out after being productive all-day I feel so good about myself. I feel accomplished and I earned it so why not?
