A letter to my parents

I went away to boarding school when I was just 12 and while some of you may think that’s a little harsh, it’s the best decision my parents ever made for me. Being in boarding school since that age I always spent more time with my friends than I did with my family which is why I think I express my feelings better to my dear friends.

So I thought its time my parents know exactly how much they mean to me, and what’s better than writing a blog about it?

So how exactly do you thank the people who have literally given you everything in life, who are your biggest well-wishers and biggest supporters, who always want to see you strive and do good, who are the literal pillars of your life!

My mom is the most expressive one out of the three of us, She speaks her mind and tells us she loves us and makes life at home so much better, I personally could have NEVER survived this lockdown or any of my high school drama without her. She’s very expressive in her thoughts and she would literally turn the world upside down, at the cost of her own peace of mind to see dad and I happy.

My dad is a little different he isn’t as emotive as mom but we know he loves us very very much. Whenever I cry he always hugs me and calls me “my strongest Bagdai girl”, and that line always makes me cry more because it’s SO CUTE, every single time he drops me off at the airport he asks me to have fun and BE GOOD, and I know that it means that he loves me very much and he wants me to have the best time of my life but also make sure his little girl reaches home safe every night.

Where can one find the worlds to thank such beautiful people in their life but id like to start with thank you, because sometimes acknowledgment goes a long way, thank you for being there for me through my innumerable phases and moods and always giving me a hand to hold and a shoulder to cry on. I’m definitely like dad that way, can’t really express how I feel but I notice every little thing that you have done for me and am so grateful for the both of you. This feels like the perfect time to say one thing that I told dad once when I was young.

“You started to love each other after having a whole life apart but I have loved you guys since the day I was born”

Both of you will forever be my first love. <3
