Why are persistence and dedication important?

You know how people say hard work is the most important ingredient to success? Well, I don’t think so, I think persistence and dedication are what make a true piece of work. Committing unconditionally and entirely to a person, a task, a group, an assignment is so hard to come by many and I’m talking from experience here. 

When I first decided to write this blog that was my biggest fear, I wasn’t sure if I was ready to commit to something so long term and so permanent in my life. The constant work and dedication can get exhausting sometimes, but when you see the end result it all definitely feels worth it. 

When I’m first given an assignment to work on, my motivation is sky-high! I always have so much energy at the start that I know I can pull an all-nighter and finish the task but well…….I kind of forget about it till the deadline is a breath away. We’ve all been there at some point. (at least I hope we’re sailing the same boat)

So in that case I thought I could show you guys an insight on why everyone is all gaga about persistence and dedication. While you’re working on a project there are many distractions and disappointments that will stop you from attaining your best result BUT when you’re consistent, when you give it your all despite those lows, that’s when you can finish what you started. That’s what makes an individual proud of themselves, that they managed to pull through in spite of all the frenzy. 

Being consistent gives you an extra edge in today’s society. We live in times where more than half the population is simply all talk, so the only way to show someone that you can keep your word is by showing results. Waking up every morning with the same dedication you had yesterday gives you purpose and makes you relevant. People will only take you seriously if they see some serious commitment and work. 

I’ve heard so many people say how Game Of Thrones didn’t live up to people’s expectations in their last season, or how Ellen DeGeneres isn’t creative with her pranks and games anymore. Compare these examples to tv shows like F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Gossip Girl. They must have put in so much effort and diligence into creating these screen awarding shows for us. One can never have enough of them. They are still the most binged watched tv shows of all time! That’s the reward you get for being consistent and dedicated. 

So it’s time to prove them wrong Babe. You got this!
